click click!!!

Hi guys! (Hi...)

woah what a change in atmosphere! all starts from the clique thing...

this ain't a new topic:) quite glad it has been brought up! at least now our attention is turned to this one problem, has it not become an experience that we all go through together? maybe this just might bring us closer;)

come on guys, cheer up! with the world turning worse by the day, it don't help to add gloom to our lives! yeah, we may have problems, but let's take it as a stepping stone instead of a stumbling block yeah?

cliques are pretty common, i think. ppl with common interests or dreams naturally come together to find encouragement and joy in one another. i do admit it does fragment the class a little though... was sad at Parkway because the table was quite quiet after the initial excitement. the canteen table is also pretty quiet too sometimes.

like what my friend said," no one likes wants to talk anymore..."

what did he mean? no one is interested in the lives of others no more. everyone is either cropped their with their own problems or they are just too shy to talk to one another. or they just don't care. probably because the word "friends" is relative from person to person. people have different perceptions on friendships. some may want it superficial, some may want it deep. some might find it is fine the way it is. since such opinions of friends differ, expectation differs too, so people get upset and all that.

my perception was very different from that of my friend. as the conversation continued, i thought i knew my friends quite well until he asked stuff like do you know who to get what for his/her birthday?

that left me thinking quite a bit.

think about this: are we guilty of the above?

personally, yes i am. i would like to get into the lives of the computing students more? i don't really hang around them that much, probably because of the fear of the uneasiness that sets when conversations lose their steam after the initial how's life, how's studies or hi that breaks the silence. besides computer games, computerish stuff don't really get me going unless there is a computer besides us and he is showing me what he is talking about. so yeah maybe the conversation loses steam, and i cannot really dig any deeper when i hit such hard ground.

i agree with shuTTer though. every class is unique on its own, whether cliquish or not. our disappointment also varies with our expectation of one another. still, it is a little scary to see a divided class, even worse to be staying in one. not saying it is one now, just might be one if we didn't do a thing about it.

oh well to be frank i have no solution to this thing. i did talk about this before. however, there is a reason why friendships are called miracles. think about how you made friends with some people? if you can get past that, try to figure out how is it that you and your friend had to be at that certain place at that certain time, only to start a relationship ( hah! caught ye! friendships, people. what are ye thinking? :)) for so long? you cannot really force a miracle, no matter how much you want it, because it really ain't up to you. that being said, it also doesn't matter how much effort you put in, how much you do... so let loose and rest easy yeah?

on the brighter side of things, at least we are talking about it and doing all that we can! the problem would really exist if this clique thing was not brought up at all and discussed in a class context! it's cool doing what we can and all, but after doing our best, let it happen yeah? you never know what you gonna get ;)
and even if you get nothing at all, be glad that you were accountable to yourself, that you saw a problem and did all you could to solve it. something like exams, doesn't matter whether you fail or pass, what matters is that you put in all that you got, and what you got reflects the best of you in that field:)

and like Wilbur said, shared experiences might pull us together! that was how my secondary school class got close... through the O levels :) it was in those last desperate months when we found warmth in the coldness of the library or the classroom, and light in the darkness of the night, in each other.

and maybe instead of concentrating on the negatives, probably we can all be thankful for every individual who is in the class, whether it is:

the always bubbly package-of-four Szemin, Yiting, Jie Jun, Shu Yu

walking ironman philosopher Wilbur

Japanese Manga heros Minning and Hui Qing

future white hat hackers and Bill Gates computing students Yan Ho, Qing Wei, Mohan, Er Jian, Chun Teck and Wei Hong

fashion specialist Nigel Tan

motherly Zhou Chu and big kiddy tomato Angela

school team SPORTS people Shuwen and Stephanie

popular Terence

the quiet and disciplined Jonathan

basketball and drum pro Wesley

eloquent and occasionally crazy Sean

All-in-one (Aquila house comm leader, jumper, gentleman etc) Jenn Haur

all-in-one "smoker" ( guitarist, singer, bassist, songwriter, runner ) Nigel Goh.

seriously there is more in everyone of us to say but let's leave it for us to discover for ourselves yeah? if not there will be no incentive for making friends already:)

cheer up guys! Christmas is coming soon if you can see the snow flakes in your head!:)

this exams, and all this class activities, they will all be over too soon, and we just might wish sometimes might never end:)

Hi came, saw, blogged

ps: is that a love song for no one... or someone? *suspense!!!*
