stand and stare

ahh.. at last, someone else who agrees smelling the roses is important.. in fact, its especially important at times such as these, when everyone is busily preparing for exams/prelims/A's/whatever else.. u noe how we always hear people lament, especially nearing the exams, that they have no time to do stuff and swear that they're gonna go play and have fun doing this or that once the exams end? well i say, its precisely at such times that we should set aside time to do the stuff we wanna do.. if u think abt it logically, that is the time when we will be most stressed out and hence presumably derive the most benefit from engaging in the activity. sure, we can wait till when we're all happy and relaxed after the exams to enjoy the activity, but then we will derive less benefit due to the diminished disparity between the states of mind evoked from it..

ya, you may point to the lack of time and mugging being the priority now, but as long as you can effectively manage your time, it can be done.. *scoff* heh easier said than done huh.. well its difficult, no one said it was easy.. and then again, it all depends on how you value it and how much u feel you need/want it.. as can be imagined, there is no one size fits all solution.. this is especially so regarding study habits, around which the resultant schedule planning has totake place.. then now we face the problem of schedules differingvastly from one to another.. so how?

who say must do with other people one huh? admitedly, certain 'activities' need two people (or more) to partake in in order to effect maximum enjoyment.. and all parties must be willing, since itsrude to force right? budden, theres plenty of other stuff u can do urself to release steam, like ... i dunno, think of some ideas of ur own.. or if u wanna follow my guide, u can try singing cartoon themesongs in the balcony at the top of ur voice, dancing around the house wearing only swimwear, or walk around the neighbourhood pretending tobe superman/superwoman. OR do all three!

moral of the story is, dun wait to play, play while you wait.

"LEISURE"

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
