CNY

Now its my turn to blog about CNY =)

My CNY eve started off in the morning with going to the Budi Centre near the national stadium to make offerings to my grandfather. After which, my family and I went to Old Airport Road to eat. When we got there, we realised that only a few stalls were open. Oh well.... I then got a suprise when Yanho suddenly popped up in front of me while i was getting my food. He was going to play basketball with some of my sec 4 friends. Later in the evening, i went to Whampoa for my reunion dinner, and finally finished the night by watching Godzilla on TV with my relatives.

Of the two days of CNY, i only visited two places, my grandparents house and my grandparents house. Thats because all my relatives congregate at one location each year so there is no need for house visiting. This year, my sis and i were not supposed to collect any ang pows because my grandfather passed away last year. (i think it brings bad luck or something like that if we accept the ang pows).

On the first day, the first place i went 2 was my grandparents house in bedok. 4 those of u who went 2 bedok north 2 eat that day, my grandparents house was the block just next to the police station. Guess who came around at lunchtime??? ................. Our dear VJC spiritual leader, Mr Chow Siew Foong came to visit my grandparents!! He and my mother's cousin are actually together. (Dunno why they still havent gotten married yet). Now he knows im in S44.....

After lunch, i left my grandparents house to go to my grandparents house (my father's side) and stayed there until dinner. While all my uncles and aunts were busy chatting, all my cousins felt so bored that in the end, we spent the whole afternoon playing heart attack with a pack of cards. My poor Pri 1 cousin got hit almost every game. =P

For the second day, i didnt do much except to go out and watch a movie with my cousins and uncle. We watched Zodiac, the Race Begins. Overall, it wasnt a very good show, there wasnt much of a storyline, and it wasnt very exciting. The graphics were quite nice though, but i think i not stupid 2 was a nicer show.

CNY is a time for reunion, where everybody can get together and and look back at the happy and sad times that we had together. This time comes only once each year, and we must learn to treasure and cherish this time that we spend with our family and relatives.

Life is short, so live it to the fullest.
