how do you feel? the bored teenager sitting at home
with the rain pouring down outside
and the bitter cold coming in drafts
the mood is spoiled
the mind depressed with boredom
when will they ever escape their homely prison?

how do you feel? the pedestrians outside
striding through the rain purposefully
single-mindedly focused on their destination
ignoring the liquid projectiles raining on them
soaking them to their very bone
chilling them to their very bone

how do you feel? the stray cat hiding in one corner
shivering, stammering
no place to go, no place to hide
no way to keep themselves warm and contented
they can only bide their time
hoping that tomorrow will be a much better day

how do you feel? the whole of Singapore
overcome by freezing draughts
pelted by drizzles
quite a break from the ordinary
but life must go on
enjoy the coolness while it lasts

imprisoned at home bored to tears?
being too busy to catch your breath?
relax. the sun'll be out soon
and think of one another
for we'll find much warmth in each other's presences =)
