This is the place for me
Where I want to be
The beauty of the four seasons
In one tree
I never really realised how apt this description was, yet there it was, describing our very class. A group of people with different personalities, put into a single class, yet creating such a beautiful picture; a class, where at the very end of it all, we all truly want to be in.
Farewell is about flashbacks, and lets flashback to the time when we first got together in a class.
Sorry, no spiritual leader and no bell to ring. :P

hello
hello
Our very first post; and it also kind of describes how we felt when we first met. A simple, short hello. We knew nothing about each other, but yes, we were willing to give each other a chance. After all, it was the beginning of two years to come. Deep in many of our hearts, we hoped that our class would turn out to be a fun and bonded class.
fragments
this class is so fragmented....
everywhere we go, whatever we do, you see little groups forming up, you see loners standing at one side, you see people who would rather be somewhere else...
when will we be able to really call ourselves a class and not as a collection of groups..?
However, while some of us wanted to give this class a chance, others were afraid of doing so. Many hung on to their secondary school days, comparing it with JC life and felt the good ol’ days with their secondary class was so much better. As a result, some people stayed within their comfort zone and didn’t take the initiative to learn more about everyone in the class. And problems became to crop up in the form of ‘cliques’. Most noticeably, people from the same schools. So we had people like Shu yu and Jie Jun, Steph and Shuwen, and of course, the two best friends hanging out together almost exclusively in the beginning. Some people also felt left out at the beginning, like our poor Angela (where were you, Nigel? Haha). But as we went through different experiences together, we truly integrated together as a class with a unique identity. Remember PW and the grueling hours we had to put in for our written report? And who can forget the healthy lifestyle programme that we so hated but have inspired us into our own healthy lifestyle programmes? And the funny moments with our teachers? “Ask me! Ask me!” Mr. Lim, who dotes so much on Wesley and gang. Mrs. Ting, who is the only teacher who can make us laugh when she says we’re all gonna fail. No doubt the great friendships within our class remain, but each one of us has integrated into the class and I believe we can truly be called a class now.

Haha. Remember this post by our quirky and funny qing wei? Its funny, how things that may seem ugly at first turn out to be something significant and so much more appreciated. Our blog password may seem lame at first, but now it holds a special meaning. Healthy lifestyle programme was irritating to us at first, but now we have converted it to a more fun recreational programme. Our class might have been seen as a bad mix at first, but now we do truly appreciate our diversity.
In fact, today was the day our class passed the acid test. Apart from farewell assembly day, its also known as ‘the day when even wei hong came!’ For those of you who didn’t come, you should really be ashamed of yourself! Haha, just joking. But really, S44 isn’t the same without a single one of you all, be it Mr. Nice Guy Liang Hong, the bubbly and cheerful (and sometimes a bit bimboish) steph, “HAHAHAHAHA! (help me I can’t stop laughing!) hysterical JIEJUN, “how many marbles?” and slacker Wesley, ms “I look really guai but actually I can be really crazy” Zhou Chu (or Jay Chou as she once called herself, lol), mr “wo tou fa you mei you luan?” Nigel, chemistry genius jonathan, and last but not least, our resident gossiper Minning.
Its really never the same with anyone missing.
All is not lost yet, we’ll probably have at least one final gathering after our A levels end. And hopefully, when we take that last picture together as one whole class, we’ll all joyfully shout “GIIIIII!” together as the camera flashes.
